What's the best way to store greens in the fridge?

Just slip Skipper into your crisper drawer and it does all the work. For best results, set your crisper drawer setting to high humidity/vegetables or close the vent.

If you store salad greens and lettuces in:

  1. The plastic bag they came in: These bags aren't airtight, so repackaging or unwrapping of salad isn't required.

  2. Plastic/glass/stainless steel food keepers: These containers are airtight, so leave the container open a bit to avoid trapping excess water inside.

  3. Eco-bags (mesh, linen, etc.): These bags aren't airtight, so plant that lettuce inside and yer done.
