Why did my Skipper pack get crunchy?
It's time for a new Skipper!
You should replace Skipper every 3 months. You may need to change out the pack more frequently if conditions in your crisper drawer are overly humid or dry.
If your Skipper pack feels rock hard all the way through (and not just in the corners or in spots), then it’s likely expired. Skipper packs become hard when they've expired—the moisture has all been released into your crisper drawer (as designed) and it's time to replace it with a new one!
If you still feel some squishy bits, feel free to put another Skipper in the drawer to prevent a lapse in veggie protection. Skipper will never overhydrate so you can never use too much.
